Actor Corey Haim -- best known for 80s films including License to Drive and the Lost Boys -- has died at the age of 38.

Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor's death to TV station KTLA.

According to police, Haim, who had past substance-abuse problems, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an accidental overdose.

He reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment. He was with his mother at the time of his death.

I always figured Corey Feldman would have been the crazy drug addict who died under suspicious circumstances, go figure.

I remember reading something about his reality show, they said the concept was that Haim was a mess and Feldman was the reliable friend he would lean on. I thought they must have that backwards too, but apparently not.

It's a shame, but what I saw of that show it's no surprise.  Feldman got his shit together and got married to a good woman, Haim was constantly getting stoned and flying off the handle, and relapsing and starting shit and every other thing imaginable. It's a sad ending to what was seen in that show, which now seems pretty much as a forewarning.

Good point.  Uppers would be better in that case!  Although if you're addicted to popping pills I'm sure it no longer matters.

I'm still amazed at the 552 doses in 32 days. That's like 17 or 18 pills a day. When you consider most of those are only meant for like 1 or 2 a day, thats impressive.
