Congrats to our March Champion Matt!

A new name dons the Raw Power cup!

Thanks to Brian for being a most awesome host!!!

I think the new format for the tournament went well and we'll continue tweaking it to make it as fun as we can!

Thank you all for coming, it was fun for me.  It was great to meet a few new faces :)

Buck ran a great tourney, chef Bill did great on the grill (and I also owe thanks to him for bringing me some roms to try to get rip off running), and Spencer was a big help keeping an eye on everything and organizing with me as well as those that helped me moving things in and out!

This being my first event in many years I learned a lot that's for sure!  At the end of the day all the games survived the event with just a few fixes I had to do this morning.   Nascar blew a fuse at 11:00 that was an easy fix, Bad cats had some upper GI go out, but that turned out to be a simple loose connector..  the one mystery that has be absolutely baffled is the fact that Phantom of the Opera has decided to eat a ball.  One of the 3 balls is just plain gone, it's nowhere to be found in the game.  Added another ball and it's fine, I have NO idea where that ball went.   Otherwise all the games seemed to run great!

This is an awesome hobby and group of people, I appreciate it more and more every day.

It was an awesome day that seemed to go by in 5 minutes.
Thanks to Brian and Mama Jones for hosting, and everyone who brought drinks snacks and BURGERS!
Great to see everyone that showed up, a great bunch of good people!
FINALLY got the hang of SPECTRUM, a neat oddity.
Love Stern Star Trek the more I play it.
WOZ is neat also, but it seemed like everyone that played it wished something in it had been done differently, lol.
All agree that if a new Doctor Who game was made it would sell like crazy.
Congrats to Matt in the finals, see everyone at Randy's!

Check behind the organ on Phantom of the opera. Very popular place for balls to go flying off that ramp

I seem to remember a ball went missing for me when playing but after the game cycled I think it found it.  But I could be wrong.
Think it happened in multi-ball.

Brian
Thank you for opening your home to all of us and providing an excellent setup for our little group. Quite a beautiful spread in the country.  Thank Google maps for getting me there cuz we would have been lost otherwise.  Tourney was fun despite the 16 million shot on Bad Cats... No sour grapes Great Win Matt!!!  I wish I thought of getting that earlier in qualifying so it wouldn't be available... Enjoyed that spectrum in the cool night air of the front porch.  Really enjoyed ourselves Thanks Again Al and Julia.
Danny,  there's a lot of.... Well badness in the world today. I see it in the court everyday. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.... didn't want to do it.... felt I owed it to them.

A little late, have been busy all week... I also wanted to say thanks to Prok and his house of Porn for hosting.  I had a nice relaxing evening, was nice to see and chat with everyone, still trying to remember everyone's names each time I go to these things!  It was a great selection of games as always, and there's always something unique at the house of porn.

Thanks also to prok for providing the burgers and brats (I know the meats aren't cheap), Chef hamster for making the Hamster burgers, Compran for bringing the massive chips and dips spread, and Spencer for the awesome cheesecake. It was great chattiing with mom also, as well as Mrs. Buck.  It was weird getting to one of these while the sun was still up, was getting the shakes.

On a side note, I'd say we all need to do better on the RSVP's to get an accurate count, and to try to remember to bring a snack or dish to help out the host.  It's hard enough to host and get the house ready, as well as the games, without having to worry about if you have enough of basic foods and snacks to keep everyone happy.  If everyone brings any simple snack... i.e. bag of chips/ pretzels, cookies, veggies/ dip, even frozen  pizza or pizza rolls or something that can be warmed up in the oven...something simple costing like $2-$5 range...and we have more than enough for everyone, without putting pressure on the hosts worrying if they'll have enough for whoever shows up.  Not pointing any fingers, i'm guilty too, just saying we should all keep these things in mind.

I thought about that afterwards Al, the minimum Jackpot would have been 1 mil per shot, so 2 jackpots is 2mil more anyway and I think that was a win regardless!

FWTW :)
