Who the hell would want something like that...superheroes...bah!

I'm retired from buying pins...go away! Damn it to hell!

Being a life long Batman collector, I'll be owning one eventually, just a matter of WHEN I decide to get it, which depends how much I like it once I can play one, and how long I decide to wait.  It looks nice colors, I like having more blue in there, the purple shading is also nice, and black of course.  HOWEVER, it's STILL not the Batman I'd personally like to see, they still don't have it right and probably never will.  I'd like something (as well as many other Batman collectors) more along the lines of the Neal Adams (artist) style Batman, like in my avatar.  The movie Batmans just don't look quite...right. And those stupid, STUPID looking batcylces and way over the top batmobiles I just don't know about either. I'm one for the old school Batman look, including the vehicles (i.e. in the 70's and 80's style).

On the bright side there's a TON of possibilities and toys they can have on this game, it COULD be killer, so I hope it has SOMETHING way cool.  Just waiting to see...at least now at least I feel fairly confident they really ARE making a new Batman pin.

"I am out of the loop on this one...is this a re-worked title or new from the ground up??"

Leon,

I don't think anyone really knows ANYTHING for sure on it since everything's been kept hush hush, but all indications are it's a totally new design, by George Gomez.  I'm pretty sure they'd all be raising hell by now if it was a rehash.

Uh?
Thats it? Thats what all of the hype is about?
I am not that thrilled with this artwork so i will keap my thoughts to myself.

The translite looks to bland and does not have that dark feeling to it? (LOTR)
Maybe I guess when i see it in person my outlook will change? For now i am not that
motivated as i thought i would be in a NIB.

But hey its a new pin so i give a thumbs up to stern however!

Like original artwork rather than print offs of posters and such.

Artwork on IJ4 is better but I bet TDK will have a better ruleset/layout/flow. (Gomez)
Give or take on both. I just saw TDK pics so I might be jumping ahead a little
dont mean to be to judgemental!

That Translite got to GO!!! lol.

Did Tom Cruise not want his chic to look to hot or something and call Stern to
tone it down?

I was really looking forward to this artwork!
A little disapointed.

"Did Tom Cruise not want his chic to look to hot or something..."

Yeah, what the hell...really?  At least on my DE Batman you had Basinger, and Batman Forever has Nicole Kidman...teeny little pic of Katie Holmes kinda sucks...the other guys didn't really have to be there, the deceased Heath Ledger didn't need to have equal time with the star either.

When I said "they still don't have it right" I am speaking to primarily the movie makers, as Stern is pretty much dictated to as to what images/art they can use from DC comics.  The last movie was a step in a better direction than the previous few...but I hate to have my favorite character screwed around with so much, between the reworking of the origins, reworking of adding NEW characters that never existed in the comics for dramatic effect or whatever, to the new costumes for whatever reasons.  Nothing I can do except hope for the best.  With the pin, at least it's Batman.  I'm happy to see anything Batman, and it's definitely something I'm sure I'm going to enjoy at least the theme more than any of the other pins in recent years.

Jeff, I respect your old skool feel and all because we are from the same era, but lets face it...no one would buy a retro pin!!  It has to have all the googly-gook to appease the new skool kids!

It's not Katie Holmes, it's Maggie Gyllenhaal, sister of Jake aka Donnie Darko.
For the record, she is a beautiful woman.

Well, the "new skool kids" sure as hell don't have the money to be buying 4K pins, now do they? :)  I think the only way to get the pin exactly the way I want is to do it myself...maybe I can hook up with that guy on RGP who's reproducing the MM playfields or controls all the Williams stuff, where is he... Australia? ... :)

Maggie Gyllenhaal...no more Katie? Either way, would like to see MORE of the featured babe in the movie...it's kinda like James Bond without the hot chick!

"...no one would buy a retro pin!! "

Umm, do we really KNOW that?  That's pretty much ALL I buy usually...and there seems to be plenty more like me.  I know there's also those guys remaking the King Of Diamonds pin...so who knows?  Does it seem people have BETTER ideas lately???  It could be a modern pin with retro ART... but I guess hiring an actual artist is out of the question these days.

It's not Katie Holmes, it's Maggie Gyllenhaal,

Doh! Your right! I never noticed that switch! I like Katie she has that inocent look! Is she playing a different character or is she playing the same character that plays Bruce's  childhood friend?

I really like the poster of the dark crusader in front of the building that has the bat signal on fire. Maybe if someone can make a translite of that shot it would fit the bill!

Maggie takes over the same role.
