bad parts
« on: April 09, 2017, 11:04:25 AM »
nothing is more frustrating than replacing a part with a bad part. tda1771 I have 10 new ones and all were bad. I put a socket the back of one of my chassis, you can only solder a couple in before the traces start coming up to test them all. 100 percent didnt work!
taking on monitor chassis repair. wells gardner u2000, k7000 19 and 25 inch, k7201, k7203 , k4600, k4900, k7400, k7500 med rez. electrohome G0-7..

Did you perhaps have a bad socket?  Can you get a good known chip to work on your test rig?  Just strange you've got 10 bad chips.
Sorry for your luck.
Al
Danny,  there's a lot of.... Well badness in the world today. I see it in the court everyday. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber.... didn't want to do it.... felt I owed it to them.

AL, the socket is fine  I have four that tested good, not from purchase. the other ten were bad. no vertical deflection. Rich, I got these from
UT source, first time this has happened from these guys. Paul

You forgot about the Chinese parts, they are backwards!  :)  Turn them around the other way...lol    Just teasing, hope you find a decent supply.
