Local board repair
« on: August 13, 2017, 09:41:40 PM »
Hello-

Looks like I need a transistor replaced on my SM. Anyone local who can swap out a transistor on a Stern board?

Thanks, Rob

Looks like I need a IRL540 transistor.  It's from a Spiderman and this is my first Stern. I have a bunch of TIP transistors for my Bally/Williams games, but it doesn't look like they are compatible, so I guess I don't have one. Is there anywhere between New Port Richey and Lakeland where I can buy a couple IRL540's or do I need to order online?

Once I get them, I don't mind taking a ride over to Lakeland for you to repair.

Thanks, Rob

That would not be a problem...when could you do the repair?  I am pretty flexible.

Thanks, Rob

Thanks for the replies, Hamster took care of my board repair last evening.  Fixed my SM upper flipper issue.
