You can do 1 of 2 things:

Flash the snes with a complete image of the NES (they are the same hardware).
turn it into the NES

or install Retroarch -- and just add nes games to the system -- and then you dont have to worry about anything ;)

they have dual boot now, you can boot NES or SNES up.

Also, they are working to add a larger SD card space to it.

No just my firewall at the office blocks 90% of the stuff I google ;)

I found the info on the dualboot.. I will be doing that tonight for sure.. looking to see how to add more NES games/roms to the package before syncing it.. as well as trying to find out about the extra space..

SuperNES and NES Classic controllers can be used on either system, and since they can dual boot either is perhaps the same in the end. It's just that the SuperNES classic comes with two controllers and they have longer cords. It also cost $20 more retail. They are turning out to be great systems. I enjoy it a lot more than I thought I would. The game play is quite authentic to original, no screen tearing and sounds are right on. The save states and rewind feature are very fun, and allow you to enjoy games you probably have already played through in the past more casually if you are just looking to focus on fun.

The nes/snes "dual boot" mod was super simple to do.

I added like 120 games ontop of the 22 SNES games, and then added the NES classic mod to it.. still have about 60mb of space on the device and everything plays great.

Adding NES games is a little more difficult now as they seem to need to be FTP'd but really I dont play many games outside of the 30 added anyhow..

so..

Dual boot your SNES CLASSICS!!!!

I have done quite a few for people if you need help let me know..

The snes / nes dual boot was really simple.. I have the folders setup on google drive for just drag and drop to install from hakchi if you dont want to mess with the java encoding of the firmware yourself.
