WTB: Pokemon Cards
« on: November 07, 2017, 06:46:57 PM »
Hello everyone,

Long time no post. We have had a lot of changes in our lives.

Biggest news to share is that in April, we became Foster parents. We have had 5 kids so far. 3 have come and gone and we now have two remaining, a 22 month old girl and a 10 year old boy. The girl has been with us for 3 months and the boy has been with us a month. We are really enjoying spending time with these kids to give them a sense of a "normal" life.

Anywho, the reason for my post is that the young boy is a huge fan of Pokemon and honestly, I know little to nothing about it. I am trying to find a collection or some cards to purchase or maybe come up with a trade for. If anyone has a collection that they are looking to part with, please hit me up. I am trying to do my best to give this little guy something special.

Thanks for looking,

Thomas

I think my son has shit ton of these things laying around somewhere and now that he has found the joys of PS4 he doesn't seem to care about these cards anymore.

Let me check with him.

Steve,

Please let me know. I really want to give this kid some things that he can cherish and call his own.

k7 - Thank you. The more I get involved with the system and these kids, the more that I am driven to do more. After only 3 months in, I quit my job to devote myself to them full time. They really are precious little people that have the crappiest sperm and egg donors on the planet.

Thomas, that is a very admirable thing that you are doing.  Thank you for being a kind and generous person.

Good news.

I talked to my son and he does have some. He said he doesn't have a lot left, but that he would dig them out for me today.

PM me an address and I will send them your way. Or, I can bring them with me to Freeplay Florida this weekend if you are going to be there.

Looks like he gave most of them away already, but he rounded up a small stack. They are yours - just shoot me an address.

That looks like a lot of cards! Please tell your son thank you sincerely! I know that Donnie will really enjoy them.

Thank you Steve and thank you Gowlan (Sorry, I don't know your real name).

I am so excited to see Donnie's face when he sees the cards that you guys are sending. I cannot express how much I appreciate your generosity and generosity of your children for offering up some of their collections.

I know Donnie well enough to know that you will be hearing from him as well!

THANK YOU!

Hey Steve and Gowan,

Once again, let me say thank you to you and your kids so much for the Pokemon cards. Both boxes arrived yesterday and my foster son sat on the floor and went though each one and was going "wow a Rayquaza", I dont know what that means, mind you. But he sat on the floor with his next door neighbor friend playing with the cards for hours. It was so gratifying to see him having fun and enjoying something that he loves so much!

Your generosity is so appreciated. If I can every do anything for you, please just say so. I definitely owe you one!

Sincerely,

Thomas
