Watched first episode about Star Wars toys.

Thought it was pretty good.

Worth a view.

I think everybody here was "made" by the games put out in the 80s

except jeff. he was created by prewar pinball. :)

some of us were molded by pinball, others were brainwashed to obey in the laboratory of fygar and pooka, and are controlled by otto.

I watched everything except the Barbie episode.

Thought it was pretty good.. not a whole lot of 'new' stuff I didn't know other than the guy who created GI Joe stupidly took a buyout versus a percentage of future profits.. that said I think he got $100k in 1964 which would have been a HUGE amount of money so not too bad for an idea. (The 1% of sales would of course, have been better though lol)

anyone can make a simple 10 grand work for their favor today. if I had $100K in 1964 (you know, before I was born), I would have an easy billion today. basically funding startups is where the cash is at in today's world. that, or go to china and make anything to sell stateside. ;) (I have a utility patent on a magnet speaker...oh, that's right...china don't care.)

in 1964, who knows what would bank vs what would go bankrupt with some other startup called GI Bill.

Good series, I hope they make more.

This YouTube Channel covers similar stuff, including many "History Of" videos for both popular stuff (Transformers, GI Joe) and the more obscure/forgotten series (Centurions, Sectaurs).
