Megatouch Monitor - Strange; Help !
« on: December 30, 2017, 11:24:31 AM »
Hi All....

I have a strange situation with a Megatouch monitor.  It's a Samsung LTM170EI-A01 which is in a Force upright machine.

I have a total of 3 Megatouchs in various states, two boot fine and one I use for parts.  All monitors work.  The other 2 monitors are EC9388-06; 15" and a EC9384-05; 17", each from Ion Elite Edges.

Each of these monitors will power up in the Force upright, but the LTM170EI-A01 will not.  All 3 monitors, including the LTM170EI-A01, will power up in the working Ion Elite Edge 15".

Power supply on the Force upright is putting out about 11.85.  The Ion is putting out just over 12.  Specs on the LTM170EI-A01 call for 10 to 15.  Any idea why only this monitor will not power up in the Force upright ?

All help appreciated.

What are the amp readings?  Put the dmm inline on amps on each and get a reading, post back.  Probably the 17 needs 2a more.
