Well, "finally the underdog won" ?  Saints were the official underdog, but it wasn't by THAT much.  It was NOTHING like the Patriots favored over the Giants the other year...and.. I seem to recall something about the underdog winning in THAT one! Smiley

It was a great game if you are a football fan...wasn't decided until the last few minutes!

Halftime show was the best they've had in years.  As has been said before Pop-stars and Bruce Springsteen just doesn't cut it as much as a good classic rock band... except what was with the acoustic guitar in Pinball Wizard?  Like Clapton's acoustic Layla it can be the difference between rock and elevator music.

Bad commercial year?  Not any worse than recent years, though admittedly no slam dunks.  Betty White trash talking while playing a game of pickup?  Punxsutawney Polamau?  Casual day?  Bud Light House?  Doritos had a couple good ones including "Keep your hands off my Mama"  Monster.com's violin playing beaver?  A handful of entertaining ones out of 100 is good enough odds for me.  Besides, by the end of the night it was painfully obvious how much I DESPISE WATCHING LIVE TV.  DVR's rule.

That was a great game, no doubt about it.  Enough can't be said about how ballsy a call that onside kick was...totally caught them sleeping.  The 2-pt conversion is debatable.  Technically he did have possession and the ball crossed the plane with the hip being down.  If it was a regular catch anywhere else on the field or there was no instant replay, it probably would have been incomplete and I wouldn't have argued.

There is some debate as to if The Who show was lipsynced/piped in.  I think that there may have been assistance and a little overplaying of the windmill effect three feet away from the strings...but who cares.  It was still enjoyable, and at least it wasn't ALL like that.  And I couldn't get over how fricken cool that stage was.  I thought that was pretty far out.

Don't know if there's any wooters out there...but they had a funny item description that's related to this: http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=11463

If I had any business dealings with the greater New Orleans/Gulf Coast area I wouldn't expect on getting much done as the party has already fired up for Mardi Gras next Tuesday.

I wanted to mention...if anybody is interested in going to a Predators game here in CFL by the way, I'm starting to get things in order for a group/tailgate party in April.

Wow...

Colts returned home from SB and were greeted by...11 fans.  WTF?  That's miserable, they deserve better than that.

God their fans suck...when the Chargers lost their lone Superbowl they were greeted by 100,000 fans! Glad they lost!!!

Go Chargers! There is always next year (something us Chargers fans always have).
