Obviously somebody swapped the real ones for fakes at some point in the distribution chain. Newegg has said they were 'demos' that were accidentally shipped. Yeah right, 'demos' like all the DVD 'demos' they sell at the flea market.

Well yeah the supplier got hosed is probably what happened. Hwang swapped a case load and offloaded the real ones somewhere for profit.

I just like how Newegg is all 'oh these were demo units' as obviosuly they were just counterfits. I guess somehow being duped one way is better than another.

ahem 'Honest Mistake' and all, because god knows you need 300 poorly made 'demo' units of CPUs for some reason.
